Today i wrote this song about the US gov't and kind of the 08 election. It's short and sweet. I just think that people are making such a big deal about both candidates because they say they will bring change to white house. And everyone, especially Obama supporters, believe this to be true. Do you think this is a first time a man running for president has promised change? No, in fact every single president, including the infamous George W, promised to bring change to the white house. Did it ever happen? well, yeah... but not in a way that positively affects the average US citizen. They say they will bring energy independence in the next ten to fifteen years, when presidents have in fact previously said that we would be energy independet by 1985, then it was 1990, then it was 2005, now it's 2025? We haven't gotten anywhere and I, personally, have been given no specific reason to believe that Barack or John will do anything about it. WAKE UP PEOPLE.
Also included in this file is a song i put on myspace about a week and a half ago called "the breath of god". i took it down to make room for the former track on this file. sooo enjoy

Well it's 3 AM as it usually is when i post these things. Tonight this song just burst out of me in a very short amount of time over pre recorded drums that i recorded at my local guitar center. I'm really into it, i hope you digs it too. I plan to put vocals on it but i'm gonna take it slow so it might be a while till i finish it, which is why i'm posting the instrumental here now. There is another song in this file after the new instrumental called "they just don't know" that i recorded in greg's apartment in may.
In real life news, i'm coming back to Rochester next saturday (the 25th) for a week (:D) before i come back here and get ready for tour which spans from nov 7th-22nd. keep updated with the dates on my myspace page i should have a bunch up tomorrow and throughout the week.
uhh my roomate's cat peed and pooped on a duffel bag in my closet the other night, and my neighbors dog barks from 3 am-6 am every day, but other than that life is good.

Or at least I wish I was. It's 4:30 AM. I just recorded a new song that i put on myspace. The first song in this file is the ex new song that was on myspace, called i am dreaming. i decided to move it over here to put the other one on myspace. i also tossed an oldie called out to see at the end of this file. you might have heard this song if you've ever seen me play live. that's all for now. enjoy.

The parade of floats was delayed for some thirty minutes while strong men recovered the soggy effigy. The culpable fly was caught in the net of an unidentified schoolboy. The boy raised his hand to smash it, knowing that an example must be made, but as his fist began its descent, the fly twitched its wing without flight. The boy, the sensitive boy, was overcome by the fragility of life and released the fly. The fly, also overcome, died of gratefulness. An example was made."
I like this passage a lot. I like this book a lot. It's called Everything is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer, and you should most definitely read it.
Included in this audio file are three tracks. The first is titled "Circles" and is a fairly old song that I used to play live a lot. The second doesn't have a name. The third is called "Hannah Montana is Teaching Kids How to Fuck", and was recorded in an extremely overpriced hotel room in Chicago while I was making my way across the country, here to California.
The Disney Channel makes me ill.
Oh yeah, and I forgot to tell all of you that my good friend Paola is the artist responsible for all of these wonderful childish drawings that are going to be a part of the EP I am currently working on, called Sagra.

Also i figured out how to take those silly advertisements out of the beginning of the songs and put them at the end haha. I'm sorry about those but i guess it's the price we all pay for free music!

Today I decided that I'm going to start playing guitar a lot more, and using more organic instruments rather than electronics for these songs. This is the first track on which I've played a guitar in a long time. In the end there are samples of people screaming on roller coasters. This pleases me. Does it please you?
